Clothing Information
Opening Number
Anything cocktail!! Our opening number will feature all contestants in cocktail wear. When choosing an outfit, think cocktail dress, palazzo pants, cat suit, etc., with appropriate accessories.
Swimsuit Competition
Choose a one-piece suit in your best color.
The style should be in good taste. NO THONGS!!!
Legs may be cut moderately high.
A solid color is best, as a "busy" print may detract from you.
No pantyhose, but you may use leg makeup.
Padding is only allowed to enhance the bust area. "Equalizers" look very natural.
Do not oil or heavily lotion your body before swimsuit competition. This will give a shiny and unnatural look.
To keep your swimsuit from riding up in the back, there is a product called "Firm Grip". It may be purchased in pageant stores or in sporting goods stores.
Shoes must be clear, with at least a 2.5'' or higher heal.
Evening Gown Competition
You will need one full-length evening gown. A second gown is optional, but certainly not necessary.
Choose your BEST color.
Your gown may be beaded or plain, keep in mind that simple is sometimes better. The judges will be judging you not the gown.
Choose a style that LOOKS BEST ON YOU and shows well on stage.
Shoes for evening gown need to have at least a 2'' or higher heel.
Too much jewelry is not good. Usually just fashion earrings are needed.
Neutral pantyhose are sufficient under your gown.
CHOOSE A GOWN THAT MAKES YOU FEEL BEAUTIFUL!!
Interview Competition
Choose a suit, dress or skirt and blouse/sweater in a color that best suits your body type and personality.
Do not choose cocktail wear.
Select heels and pantyhose that compliment your outfit.
Earrings, broaches, bracelets, etc. are appropriate when not overdone. They should enhance you and your outfit.
Choose an interview outfit that makes you feel confident and makes the statement, "I am here for the job!"
Other
Clothing for rehearsals should be casual (you will see everything from shorts and tennis shoes to short skirts and nice pants outfits.)
Wear comfortable shoes, but you MUST bring your heals to practice in for the opening and walking routines.
